Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE University of Birmingham has been offered a gift, under covenants, of between £19,000 and £20,000 a year to enlarge and develop its graduate school of highway engineering, to include traffic engineering and to establish a chair in the joint subjects.'

The donors, who expect the university to assume financial responsibility of the chair after a period of seven years, re'Present a number of interests, including the motor industry, certain oil companies, the Automobile Association and Royal Automobile Club.

It is understood that the university will welcome th offer, which will be formally submitted to the council and senate later this month. Seen with the Cummins mobile instruction school in place for transit is the White 3000 truck described in "The Commercial Motor" last week. The cab tilts forward to give access to the Cummins JT6 turbocharged oil engine mounted vertically beneath it. Space behind the full-width trench seat in the deep cab, which covers the engine completely, is occupied by a large shelf. Points to note are the cold-air intake for the engine induction system on the near side and the high-level exhaust outlet.
