'THE amalgamation between J. and A. I Smith of Mac!Alston, Ltd., Maddiston, Falkirk, and H. L. Walker, Ltd., Robert Street, Thornaby-on-Tees, forecast exclusively in The Commercial Motor on March 27, has now been completed. Smith's have acquired the share capital.
The name of H. L. Walker, Ltd., will be retained, but the services' of the two companies will be merged as far as possible to meet customers' needs. Twentythree vehicles on A licences have been taken over.
