problem! Simply equip a low loader with a Chieftain main battle tank turret...One of my roving correspondents encountered this hybrid at the Bovington Tank Museum in Dorset. Is it a training device? A specialist transporter? Or possibly the next stage in the privatisation of the armed forces. Hauliers are already bidding for various transport and support functions; why not save more taxpayers' money by engaging a heavy haulier to take the turret with its complement of squaddies into any future conflicts? Mind you, running out of hours during an advance might be embarrassing.
