Colin McKeag scoops UK young driver title
COLIN MCKEAG of MK Transport (NI) emerged triumphant at the UK final of Scania's Young European Truck Driver 2010. The County Down-based driver fought off competition from 11 other drivers in a twoday competition at the Heritage Motor Centre last weekend. McKeag says: "I'm over the moon. It just shows that hard work, effort and concentration pay off." His reward is £1,000, plus he now goes forward to the European finals in Sweden on 8-9 October, where first prize is an R-series truck.
