Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

As the most recently launched van in the group test, with half a decade of progress on some of its ovals, great things were expected cf the Vauxhall MovenĀ°.

It's clear that a key area of its development, shared of course with the Renault Master, has been aimed at understanding what drivers need from their workplace, Overall, the cabin is a place of comfort, with good visibility and an excellent seating position achievable.

One tester summed up the general view by describing the "brilliant use of storage". Were not sure how many drivers will use the ingenious swivelling laptop table on the back of the central seat. but it will work just as well for Burger King's finest.

Other features. such as the pop-out dash clipboard, the duo of 12V charging points and the proliferation of coat hooks will find a wider circle of appreciation.

One area of concern was with the sat-nay fitted, with a large screen incorporated up near the interior mirror. This features the prevailing speed limit, and flashes a warning when it's being exceeded. Very commendable, except that it is programmed with car speed limits, and therefore encourages van drivers to go lOmph too quickly on A-roads and dual carriageways. The flexibility of the engine was widely praised by our testers, with its "great spread of torque". The transmission was less well received, though, with a heavy clutch, notchy gearshift and excessive noise all noted.

At least one tester reckoned the transmission was enough to make it the worst of the four vans that he drove. A rattle from the door of this 2,000-mile example didn't help. The ride was felt to be choppy, and the long wheelbase and short overhangs were considered a liability in tight urban conditions.

nature of its joint venture genetics has left it with rather more Renault than Vauxhall in its blood.
