MSA operators have their say

Moto: 'We are disappointed that this Pan-European Survey of motorway service areas failed to reflect the enormous level of investment and improvements that Moto has made in the past three years. We are however pleased that Moto rated highly for hygiene, service, family friendliness, parking and safety, and the shop facilities and range. Moto has also been acknowledged as the only operator to be recognised for 'very good' service levels in all our locations."

Welcome Brealc According to CEO Rod McKie: "We are continually striving to improve all aspects of our motorway service operation. The fact that the survey marks Oxford services highly in a number of categories proves that we are making positive strides. Welcome Break is not resting on its laurels and appreciates that more work needs to be done. We are committed to offering the best facilities on the UK motorway network."

RoadChet Notes the survey's criticism of its Sandbach MSA on the M6 but feels that two visits to the site did not reflect the standards achieved by this MSA. The company has invested £30m into its MSAs over the past two years to update and improve the quality of facilities on offer.
