For the past six years Mr. Leach has been associated with the Leeds municipal-transport undertaking and has acted in the capacity of chairman for four years. For several years he has been a relief Traffic Commissioner.

MR. C. R. HOD6SON has been appointed senior resident representative for R. A. Lister and Co., Ltd., Dursley, in Australasia, His headquarters will be in Sydney. He will also act in the same capacity for 131ackstone and Co., Ltd., Stamford, in which company the Lister concern now ha.e a substantial interest. Mr. Hodgson has a wide experience of engineering in all its branches, and has travelled extensively in Europe.

MR. W. R. CUNNINGHAM, whose portrait appears on this page, has been appointed vice-president of the Associated Equipment Co. of Canada, Ltd., in succession to Mr. E. J. Cosforcl. Born in Ontario, Mr. Cunningham has, since 1918, been engaged in various capacities in the Canadian motor-vehicle held, and he hat an extensive knowledge of road-transport reqttirements in the Dominion. In 1933 he joined the Canadian branch of A.E.C. as secretarytreasurer, and held that position until his election as vice-president.

MR. H. MUSCROFT, transport manager to South Shields Corporation since August, 1935, is recommended by Southend Corporation's transport committee for appointment as transport manager. It is understood, however, that there is a possibility of the Southend undertaking being merged with a private concern, and, if this development materializes, the cornmittee's recommendation will be cancelled. Mr. Muscrcift was formerly with Bradford Corporation's tramways undertaking as assistant to the chief engineer.
