Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

If daily rest is split, the current rules demand there can he only three periods. The first two have to he at least two hours long and the last, no less than eight hours. From April, however, the maximum for split daily rest is two periods. The first must be no less than three hours and the second, at least nine hours long. The FTA reckons this will reduce flexibility because drivers will be out of service for longer periods during the day.
