THE UK arm of Italian haulage company Arcese Trasporti has taken delivery of the first Euro-5 Stralis Active Space tractor units to arrive in the UK.
The seven 4x2 tractors join four Euro-3 models that were delivered to the fleet last September. MD Kevin Le utchford says: "We have already placedadvanced orders with Iveco for an additional Euro-5 Stralis to join our fleet every six weeks throughout 2007.
-The decision to adopt Iveco as our brand of choice reflects our parent company's positive experi ence of operating Iveco vehicles."
Leutchford adds that since the vehicles joined the fleet initial reports reveal an average fuel consumption of approximately 11.5mpg, with AdBlue consumption of less than 5%. Arcese UK was set up in July 2005.
