CREOSOTE fuels produced from coal \--.• are to be used by the Midland General Omnibus Co., Ltd., and the Mansfield District Traction Co., Ltd., to restore cuts in services made when the oil crisis began. Services will return to normal this week-end.

The companies took legal advice to ensure that creosote fuel was not rationed. It is possible to add a small admixture of creosote to oil fuel without impairing engine efficiency.

The Trent Motor Traction Co., Ltd., are understood to have rejected the idea of using creosote because of the mixing difficulty and noxious smell.

SAVING FUEL BY RADIO rONDIT1ONS laid down by North Riding County Council for the construction of a radio station on top of Osmotherley Moor have been accepted by Tarslag, Ltd., Stockton-on-Tees. Previous proposals were rejected. The company hope to save fuel by central radio control of their fleet.
