PRINCIPAL SUPPORTERS FOR 19164917.

We have not sufficient space this week to enter upon any review of the first, second, and third stages of £5000 each which have markedthe progress of our Campaign Comforts Fund, going back to its inauguration on the 22nd October, 1914. We may possibly be able to 'arrange space for the purpose at an early date.

„ There are, for the time being, demands upon our pages to an extent which renders any such allocation of space impossible.

It will be observed, from the accompanying statement of cash receipts, that the Fund has now handsomely turned £15,000. The present keen weather shoula satisfy our supporters generally of the continued demand for the despatch of winter comforts.

We are hoping the weather conditions may also persuade not a few new supporters to come forward. We have not for sonic weeks published lists of gifts in kind,. the postponement being chiefly due to the serious illness of our principal storekeeper,' but we hope next week to bring the list up to date.

"Please accept the grateful thanks of the officers and N.C.O.s of this unit for the case of whisky to hand. It arrived at a most opportune moment ; in fact, at a time when whisky is absolutely unprocurable in the neighbourhood."-0.0., — Amm. Sub Park, France.

"In the abbence of the 0.0., who is on leave, I have to acknowledge with thanks your generous gift to the officers and N.C.O.s of this unit. much appreciated.' —0.0., Auxiliary Petrol Co., B.E.F.
