• TNT Logistics has signed a £14m, seven-year deal with the Bocldington Pub Company to collect and distribute beer to its 470 pubs. It is planned that more than a million pints a week will be delivered out of a central warehouse in Wigan, Lancs. TNT is to buy 16 Volvo urban artics for the contract; 70 staff will be dedicated to it.
• Ryder has added five new Leyland Daf 45 Series trucks plus drivers as part of a three-year extension to its contract with NHS Supplies South East. Drivers, maintenance and servicing are provided for the 21-strong fleet out of the NHS distribution centre in Maidstone, Kent.
• Beck & Pollitzer has signed a three-year/£2.1m deal to provide warehousing and distribution for iron pipe producer Stanton.Eight Leyland Daf 17-tonners will operate out of sites in Nottingham, Motherwell and Silvertown in London.
