Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CAN ANYONE answer four questions? The first is: why, after I legally spend £400 on taking my Class 1 hgv driving test — and pass it — can I not get a job driving an artic because employers then say then cannot employ anyone below 25 years old?

The second question is this: Is a 40-year-old man automatically a better driver than a man of 22 and is everybody under 25 a maniac when they get behind the wheel of lorry, van or car?

The Third question is: Why do employers let insurance companies dictate to them on how old their employees should be? Provided, of course, they are old enough to take an hgv driving test?

My final question: How do you get experience if nobody will take the trouble to employ you and give you a chance? P. P. GOLDER Bretton Peterborough Cambridge
