Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

LIVESTOCK transporter Peter Gilder and Sons asked Reid Brothers Truck Fabrications of Cradley Heath to convert its Scania 112 6X2 with Rubery Owen-Rockwell Neway AR70-9 air suspension for use as a 28ft towing vehicle in a drawbar/trailer combination.

The air suspension incorporates a lifting option so that weight can be transferred to the drive axle to provide extra traction when manoeuvring in muddy farmyards.

Gilders, which is based at Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire, undertakes livestock transport throughout mainland Europe. Return journeys are made with general cargo loads.

The company favours operation of the drawbar combination, as it gives an extra 20 per cent in terms of volume over that of a 40 ft trailer, will be adding similar units to its fleet in due course.
