A SERIES of convictions which against Leamington Spa haulier his 10-vehicle licence being cut next May instead of in 1988.

Mr Parry had also failed to notify the West Midland Traffic Area that his operating centre had changed and the Licensing Authority, Ronald Jackson, gave him 48 hours within which to submit a variation application.

Questioned by Mr Jackson, Mr Parry agreed that he was the nominated transport manager. He said he had not notified the traffic area of any change as he had employed the transport manager for a probationary period. He had left his employment following an investigation into the offences.

Mr Parry said he had since found out that the person concerned also operated vehicles of his own — Mr Jackson commented that it was from the same base as Mr Parry.

Announcing his decision, Mr Jackson said that he viewed the matter very seriously. Mr Parry had completely failed his own transport manager.
