Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BOB BECKHAM, former managing director of SPD Distribution and Freight Transport Association president from 1974 to 1976, died last weekend aged 63.

He spent most of his working life with SPD, joining as a warehouseman at Bradford in 1946 and working at several company locations throughout the country. He left to join Rank Hovis MacDougall in 1967 and was RHM Foods' distribution director when he returned to SPD at the end of 1974.

He joined as the second man aging director of Tibbett and Britten, the hanging garment specialist which SPD had just bought jointly with the Netherlands railways, and became SPD managing director two years later. He retired in February 1981.

Mr Beckham was an active member of the Centre for Physical Distribution Management, was a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Transport, and established an enviable reputation for training British and overseas staff.

He was made an MBE after serving on the Leitch Committee of inquiry into Britain's roads.

A distinguished war service culminated in his being attached to the Italians.
