The basic four-speed syncromesh gearbox is linked to a two-speed transfer box which is mechanically linked to both the axles. For normal on-road operation only the transfer box high range is required, the low range with four-wheel drive facility being selected for rough terrain work.
Drum brakes are fitted at each wheel with twin leading-shoe units at the front and trailingand-leading-shoe units at the rear. The hydraulic brake system is split at the master cylinders and is servo-assisted.
In-cab equipment includes the usual gauges, wind-down windows and a laminated windscreen, and the vehicle tool kit includes an inspection light and starting handle. The vehicle costs £2,977 (exc VAT).
