increase its subscription rates from October 1 because of the impact of the "very high current levels of inflation."

When subscription rates were last increased back in October last year it was assumed by the Institute's council that inflation would be contained within a 15 per cent margin.

This has not been the case and the council was concerned that the standard of service to its members should be Maintained and the financial viability of the Institute protected while at the same time making further efforts to economise.

The council decided it had no alternative but to up rates, but the increases have been kept below the level of infiation.

The new rates are : Fellows £18.00 Members £12.50 Associates £14.50 Licentiates ..... £7.25 Graduates ..... £6.00 Students £5.00
