MANCHESTER distribution fin Roberts Transport Services restructuring and rebrandin as its owners look to bring their son to take the busine forward and "lay the foundatior for the future".
The current owners, Ste, and Janet Roberts, set the fin up in 1976, but are now lookin to take more of a back-seat rol as they hand over some of th operational control to son LukE
As a result, Roberts Transpo Services is being placed i voluntary liquidation and a ne firm, Roberts Transport Solt tions, created in its place, wit Luke Roberts taking a majorit shareholding.
The 10-truck operator is als adding new vehicles to its f le and will unveil a new logo in th coming weeks.
Steve Roberts adds: "This w bring us into line with 2010, bu otherwise, it's business as usua It's all about making peopl aware of the niche market w operate in. We are incredibl service-focused. Clients war and need a level of servic from us and we are able t provide that."
Roberts Transport operate from a 32,000ft2 warehouse sit in Hyde, Greater ManchestE and specialises in offerin! storage and transport service to overseas firms to handl their UK inventory.
Although the Euro exchang rate has had an effect on thi business, Roberts says he i hoping for a new contract wii in the coming weeks that wi help "get the business bac on track".
