Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A truck driver has been found guilty of importing £1.5m-worth of ecstasy tablets into Dublin port.

DecIan Donaghy, from Newry, was remanded in custody for sentencing until 27 April. He had pleaded not guilty to having the drugs for sale or supply in Apri11998 when stopped following police observation.

Irish police had kept a watch on Donaghy and his truck as he left the port and headed for a north Dublin haulage depot.

When they searched the

vehicle they discovered 101,000 ecstasy tablets in two holdalls hidden in the back. The court heard that Donaghy planned to hand the drugs over to an accomplice at the depot.

In evidence to police he claimed that he believed he was smuggling cigarettes and had not looked inside the bags in the truck.

During the three-week trial the court heard evidence that Donaghy had collected the drugs in England on behalf of a Dundalk-based drug dealer.
