Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Traffic on the busy A20 between Dover and Folkestone was delayed for an entire day last week after a fire on a lorry carrying 20 tonnes of plastic seat covers melted part of the road surface.

The fire, which is believed to have started in the engine's turbocharger, led to a six-inch depth of road surface having to be pulled apart.

The driver of the burnt truck was named as a Mr Singh, working for Leicester-based firm Fast Freight. He was unhurt; no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
