riONTRACTS received by Marshall of Cambridge (Engineering) Ltd. for single-deck bus bodies during the past nine months total 377. Of these 299 are for the home market and the remainder for export. The majority of home orders are from BET companies, which have ordered Marshall bodies, as follows:

Leopards; City of Oxford, eight 44-seat and three 50-seat bus bodies on 16 ft. 6 in-wheelbase AEC Swift chassis; East Kent, 10 51-seat buses on AEC Reliance chassis and 10 29-seat bus bodies on Bedford VAS chassis; Maidstone and District, 10 49-seat dual-purpose bodies on 36 ft. Reliances; East Midland, 10 45-seat bus bodies on AEC Swift chassis; Sunderland District, six 53-seat bus bodies on Leyland Leopard chassis; East Yorkshire, four 49-seat dualpurpose bodies on Leyland Panther chassis; County Motors, 1 53-scat and one 45-seat bodies on 36 ft. Leopard and 30 ft. 6 in. Leyland Tiger Cub chassis, respectively; Western Welsh, 15 4l-seat bus bodies on AEC Reliance chassis;• Rhondda, 15 45-seat bus bodies on Tiger Cub chassis; and Devon General, five 41-seat bus bodies on AEC Reliance chassis.

Orders received from municipal operators not previously recorded in COMMERCIAL MOTOR include one from Oldham Corporation for four 43-seat dual-entrance bodies

on Leyland Panther Cub chassis, an order from Southend Corporation for two 49-seat bodies on Leopard chassis and one 54-seat bus body on AEC Reliance chassis for Leicester City Transport.

In addition the West Riding Automobile Co. Ltd. has ordered 31 51-seat bus bodies, six for mounting on AEC Swift chassis and the remainder on Leyland Panther chassis, and Lancashire United Transport Ltd. is taking three 46-seat bus bodies on Leyland Tiger Cub chassis.
