PROCEEDINGS were recently taken, 1 under the Road Haulage Wages Act, against Mr. P. C. H. Johnson, of Terrington St. Clement, King's Lynn, on • charges of alleged underpayment of four male workers, and with failure to post the appropriate notice. On the second charge, defendant was found not guilty, but he was convicted and fined £1 on each of the four charges of underpayment, with £2 8s.-costs and £2 2s. advocate's fee.
