Under these rules all forward-facing seats in goods vehicles up to 3,500kg CO must be fitted with seat-belts which must be used, Goods vehicles exceeding 3.500kg GVW must be fitted with seat-belt anchorage points. There is no current requirement to fit seat-belts, but if they are fitted they must be used. There are a number of exemptions, including:
