• Stoke-onTrent-based Barry Proctor Services has been
cleared of permitting one of its drivers to take insufficient rest and exceed the hours' limits. But the Fenton Magistrates fined the company £350 for using a vehicle when the tachograph was not used in accordance with the regulations.
The company had denied permitting driver Stephen Wilkinson to take insufficient daily rest on four occasions and to exceed the permitted daily driving time on three occasions. It admitted the tachograph offence.
