Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Cargofrigo for the UK

• The Cargofrigo chassisless triaxle refrigerated semitrailer, launched by specialist refrigerated bodybuilder Lambert at Frankfurt last month, is now available for operation at 34-38 tonnes for the UK's forthcoming 16.5m length limit.

With plants in Germany and Spain, Lamberet is Europe's largest manufacturer of refrigerated semis and since entering the UK 10 years ago has gained 25% of the market.

The Cargofrigo body, mounted on a slim chassis, has been in use for about three years. It saves about 200kg in unladen weight, and the chassisless version offers an advantage of increased height, raising the internal dimension by about 20mm to 2.6m.

Based at a new assembly plant in Warrington, Lamberet Isotherms UK imports ready-built boxes from its parent company at Saint Cyr sur Menthon in France, Air suspended running gear and subframes are supplied from various UK sources to the company's own design, incorporating ninetonne axles.

The self-supporting, reinforced insulated bodywork, constructed from one-piece polyester panels, gives a clean, smooth profile inside and out, while providing a useable internal length of up to 13.99m and an internal width of 2.5m, to give a

volume of 87m3 with sufficient floorspace to accommodate 33 800x 1,200mm Euro pallets, or 26 1,000x 1,200mm ISO pallets.

With the fridge motor mounted beneath the self I bearing floor — which is constructed with integral rubbing plate and king pin positions at 1.66 and 1.41m — the inside of the bulkhead is designed to obviate the need for a fridge guard.

The non-skid gel coat on the floor section and aluminium kick strips, fitted to a height of 250mm on front/side walls and rear doors, are standard, as is the stainless-steel tail frame incorporating triple hinges and a pair of locking bars, Other equipment includes Lashing rings, sliding spare wheel carrier and access stop, while a 1.805mm tandem bogie and lift up axle are listed as options.

Variations in design can be made to incorporate such items as a pallet carrier, GRP streamlining, tail-lift and a power-assisted moveable bulkhead.
