BREWERS PLACE ORDERS: Four breweries in the Midlands have placed orders together worth over £60,000 with the Leyland Motors Group. Ind Coope, Ltd., of Burton-on-Trent, have, ordered 10 Leyland Cornet 18-ton gross tractive units and two Leyland Super Comet 20-ton gross tractive units; Ansells Brewery, Ltd., who are in the Ind Coope Group, have ordered eight Leyland Comet tractive units: and Mitehells and Butlers, Ltd., Birmingham, have ordered three Albion Retver I5.5-ton chassis, whilst their Wolverhampton subsidiary, W. Butler and Co., Ltd., have ordered four Leyland Comet I2-ton chassis.

ALBIONS FOR THE DAM: Three Albion Chieftain 7-ton. chassis with Anthony Hoists tipping gear have been ordered by the United Africa Company of Sierra Leone, Ltd., for operation with Taylor Woodrow on the Coma -Valley Dam Profect.

BIG BENS IN POLISH OILFIELDS: Five Thornycroft Big Ben oilfield tractive units have recently been delivered to Poland for service in the oilfields of west, south-east and central Poland. They wilt also be used by the State missing organization. They are being used with specially designed semitrailers constructed by R. A. Dyson and Co., Ltd.

FOR SUGAR: Rogers and Co., Lid., of Port Louis, Mauritius, have ordered a Leyland Beaver tractive unit which will be used to haul sugar in a tanker semitrailer.

TANKER ORDERED: A 3,200-gal, stainless steel road tanker has been ordered by Merseyside Food Products, Ltd., from Andrews Bros. (Bristol), Ltd. It will be mounted on an A.E.C. Mammoth Major eight-wheeled chassis and used to convey edible oils.

BIG ORDERS FOR TANKERS: Orders worth E175,0700 were placed at the Commercial Motor Show with Darham Industries (London), Ltd, Included in the orders were contracts for road tankers for the bulk transportation of beer, milk, petroleum and chemical products.

HIPPOS FOR GHANA: The Ghana Supply Commission has ordered three Leyland Hippos powered by 200 h.p. Leyland diesel engines and equipped with five-speed gearboxes and automatic chassis lubrication equipment. Two will be used by the Ghana Ministry of Health and one Will be operated by the Electrical Department.

MORE FOR SUGAR: Reryson Agencies, Ltd., Kingston, Jamaica, have ordered six more A.E.C. Monarchs. They will he used for transporting sugar and other products from sugar factories in the island to the docks.
