Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DIFFICULTIES in the Selby area following the reorganization and linking of unremunerative routes run by West Riding Automobile Co., Ltd., were spot-lighted at a hearing by the Yorkshire Traffic Commissioners at Leeds on Monday. Mr. J. W. S. Moore. Cawood, applied to revise his time-table between Cawood and Selby, and to add a new terminal point at Biggin,

Mr. C. D. Chapman, for the objector, Mr. A. S. Burley, said that on February 27 last he took over a number of routes formerly served by the West Yorkshire Road Car Co., Ltd., between Selby, Sherwood, Church Fenton and York. A daily service was provided. Mr. Moore's services worked only on Saturdays. Sundays and lvlonda‘s, the best three days of the week. The new timings proposed were nearly all 5 minutes ahead of his client's departures, and, he submitted, they would abstract traffic.

After evidence by Mr. Moore that there was no late-night bus to Biggin, and that West Riding had Withdrawn 22 timings which had heen replaced by only four, the chairman, Major F. S. Eastwood; adjourned the hearing for a meeting about time-tables.

He commented that it was a pity Mr. Moore was not a member of the Passenger Vehicle Operators' Association, or a similar organization, as he needed advice. West Riding should also attend the meeting. If there was no agreement the application would be re-listed.
