Hoffmann Bearing Reliability.

It is interesting to learn that the bearings fitted on the seaplane used by Sir Alan Cobham for his return flight to Australia were the same as those used in his previous achievement to the Cape and back. These were manufactured by the •Hoffniann Manufacturing Co.' Ltd., Chelmsford, and we understand that the bearings 'gave no trouble during the whole time, which comprised 45,000 miles' flying.. When the conditions under which they had to operate are considered and that reliability was the prime consideration,' the 'performance is indeed a fine tribute to theefficiency cf Hoffmann products.
