The Irishman had applied for a job as a motorbus driver and was being interviewed by the foreman. "Can you drive a car?" asked the foreman.
"Can 01 drive a car!" repeated the Irishman with fine scorn.
"Well, suppose you just run that bus into the shed."
Pat climbed on to the vibrating monster, looked around, grabbed the biggest lever and pulled it for all he was worth, stepping on the gas. Zip ! Into the shed it went. Seeing trouble ahead, and guessing what might happen, Pat reversed the lever and trod on more gas. Out she went and then in again.
"I thought you said you could run a ear?" exclaimed the foreman.
