Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

From a purely aesthetic standpoint, one of the more obvious attractions of the FuelSave trailer is that despite its aerodynamic modifications, it doesn't took that much different to a standard curtainsider. Or, to put it another way, without appearing to do so, Lawrence David has managed to avoid going to the same lengths Nome might argue extremes I of other trailer-makers to gain its improvements in Cd and fuel efficiency.

The Fuel...Saves modestly tapered roof and sides shouldn't impinge on operational or loading efficiency and we could see FuelSave standing quite happily in any general haulage fleet or rental yard. Moreover, the fact that it delivered a 3.5% mpg improvement in less-than-ideal conditions ltested against a lower height rival) is also worthy of note.

On a like-for-like basis, based on the MIRA data, operators could justifiably expect to see greater savings although based on our test, the potential mpg improvement offered by the FuelSave trailer is certainly worthy of detailed consideration.

Our thanks to Simon Wood of Mercedes-Benz and Dawsonrentat for their help in our test.
