• Scottish hauliers were left battered and blown last week after severe wind and rain brought chaos to road and ferry services.
One driver from Superglass Sections of Clydebank had a lucky escape when he emerged unscathed from his truck after his trailer was blown over on the Kessock bridge near Inverness.
The Tay Bridge and the Forth Bridge were both closed for several hours due to the high winds.
The weather conditions were the remnants of Hurricane Mitch, which battered North and Central America earlier this month.
