• A vehicle scheduling system from AT&T Istel is expected to save furniture retailer MFI £500,000 in its first year of operation.
The £200,000 system, known as VSS, is used by MFI to schedule home deliveries of ready-made kitchens, lounge suites and urgent service orders. It is designed to improve vehicle utilisation and reduce running times and distances by ensuring that vehicles are carrying optimum loads and using efficient delivery routes.
