embers of the emergency services in Cumbria are to star in a student-teacher play touring schools in the county to warn children of the dangers of joyriding. The plan is for some of the potentially horrific results of stealing a car to be brought home forcefully to the youngsters. The Hawk is pleased to be able to refute the wicked rumour that has been circulating to the effect that the actors will be arriving at the schools by bus — just in case the youngsters want to do some homework.
