IN Leyland Daf has made Econocruise speed limiters standard on all 45 Series models: they were previously a pre-legislation option. Over the next 12 months the Rugby-based company will supply more than 5,000 units to Leyland Daf for its most popular model. Econocruise continues to be a major supplier to the afterrnarket parts divisions of Leyland Daf, 'Nem Ford, ERF, Foden and Seddon Atkinson as well as being standard on all non-EDC engined Volvo and Scania models for the 11K.

• Go Whittle, the Kidderminster-based tour operator, has ordered its first Volvo coaches to join its 50-strong fleet for the 1993 season. The three Volvo BIM& are fitted with THD 101GD engines, rated at 201kW (273hp), ZF S6-90 six-speed transmissions and Telma retarders. All will have Plaxton Premier 3500 49/53-seat bodies.
US injection • Volkswagen is to change from Bosch to the American Stanadyne pintle-type injectors for the turbocharged 1.9-litre four-cylinder diesel used in the Golf van.
