• The Kenning Motor Group has opened its new Truck Centre on a 1.57 acre site in Kay Street, Openshaw, Manchester.

The total building area is some 22,919 sq ft. The building, which is of steel and brick construction, contains sales, servicing and general offices together with reception offices for sales and service customers.

The Truck Centre are distributors for Austin /Morris vans and Leyland Redline commercial vehicles. In addition to full sales, spares and service facilities, there is also a pre DoE test bay which includes the requirements for brake testing and load simulation as well as a wash, which is equipped with the latest power wash machinery for chassis cleaning. The general manager is Mr N. L. Hodkin and the service manager is Mr G. Dunscombe.
