Stainless Steel Silencers SIGN I IC A NT saving in fuel consumption and greatly improved road performance are advantages claimed when using a new design of silencer made by Stainless Steel Silencers Ltd. The makers state that recent tests of this Multifit silencer on a variety of vehicles have resulted in increased m.p.g. in all cases and that silencers tested in the past year show no signs of deterioration.

Stainless steel construction is said to keep the silencer, suitable for use on car-based .vans, free from weaknesses (such as rust and carbon and oil deposits) which occur in the mild steel type. Power unit efficiency and economy result from the heatresistant qualities of the stainless steel used. This, together with the patented baffle design, gives good gas flow conditions.

Further advantages claimed for the Multifit is that it can easily be transferred from one vehicle to another and that stocks can be carried without difficulty, as, the silencers occupy little storage space. Multifit kits are claimed to be easily assembled and fitted to any type of vehicle suitable for straight-through silencer. New parts can be obtained from the makers on application.
