The chairman will be Mr. Hubert Perring, chief mechanical engineer of the Ministry of Transport, who will have the following panel of experts to support him: Mr. J. D. Billington (a BRS chief engineer) Mr. C. W. Oliver (Beck and Pollitzer Road Transport, and chairman of the RHA highways and vehicles committee), Mr. H. B. Phillips (George Cohen 600 Group, and chairman of the TRTA vehicles committee), and Mr. L. D. Watts (chief engineer and director of Scammell Lorries Ltd., and a member of the SMMT technical committee).
West Midland operators—and especially maintenance staff—are invited to attend what promises to be a most interesting meeting. It starts at 7.30 p.m. at the Council Chamber, Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, 75 Harborne Road, Birmingham 15.
