Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

What do you do when your fortnightly sales are over-subscribed? Simple — start running sales every week And that still means 200 vans at a time.

The sheer volume of vans going through the Fleet Auction Group's fortnightly events has forced the company to hold light commercial vehicle sales weekly.

The decision was taken after FLAG struggled to get through the volume of vans it was handling on a two-weekly basis. The move to a weekly schedule will enable the company to offer a more manageable 200 units per sale.

FLAG has recently increased the number of vendors at its Coalville-based auction. Commercial vehicle sales manager Jim Allsop reports: The volume of vans being sent to FLAG for auction has increased so dramatically that an extra two sales a month are needed to cope with the throughput. Over the past six months we have secured a number of volume agreements with large commercial operators to de-fleet their vehicles on a regular basis.

"This, together with the generic growth in business from small and medium-size fleets, has almost doubled the number of light CVs we are putting through the auction halls."

The group's HGV and plant sales will continue on a fortnightly basis with the next sale, including vans, scheduled for 25 May.
