• Boalloy Ltd, Congleton, Cheshire, is stepping up its production of Tautliner and Linkliner trailer bodywork, and last week, at an open day at the works, the firm's joint managing director, Mr E. G. Broadbent, showed members of the commercial vehicle industry, trailer manufacturers and representatives of the press two new bays, one of which is nearing completion, that are geared specially to the manufacture of the Tautliner curtain-sided vehicles and the Linkliners. One of the bays will shortly be turning out 15 Tautliners every week.
The firm is also extending its repair and workshop facilities.
Mr Broadbent referred to a new basket woven curtaining in polyester which textile manufacturers are now producing as curtaining for vehicles fitted with the Tautliner. This, he said, gave the curtain-sides double their previous strength.
