Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The Stiller Academy has big goals for the future. It is participating in local employability programmes, including training and job experience for rehabilitated offenders. It is setting up a warehousing and forklift truck training facility at Durham prison. John Craig, manager of Stiller's Academy, says there are a few offences which are obvious barriers to the industry such as substance abuse but that most people deserve and value a second chance. "Stiller takes them on day release and I place them with other operators. Hilton Hotels is a big supporter of the programme and have found that these staff give great commitment and productivity" Craig is also looking at developing further and higher education courses in logistics. "-There is no degree really tailored to logistics, and most academic courses are still based around term-time.

"We'd like to break down foundation degrees to modular bite-sized chunks you could do at work. If you can assess and offer evidence for work experience, you can fast-track the first year."

This is important for several reasons. Tutors and assessors work around the student; courses are assessed and included for their relevance to the business; and trainer-operators such as Stiller have a better chance of impressing the importance of training upon smaller operators, says Craig.
