Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• As predicted, Liverpool-based Thorburn International Transport went into voluntary liquidation last week (CM 12-18 March). However, despite assurances by Thorburn owner Wallace Thorburn that all creditors would be paid, this now appears unlikely, according to liquidator Robert Rutherford from insolvency practice Parkin S Booth It could take up to 18 months to realise the company's assets, assess creditors' claims and make what payments he can, says Rutherford.

Thorburn is still standing by the assurances he gave last week that everybody would be paid, but declines to comment further.
