Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SEVENTY-SEVEN per cent of United Road Transport Union members believe the numbers of legal maximum driving hours per day should be raised.

URTU says that preliminary questionnaire results also showed that four per cent thought the hours should be lower, and 18.75 per cent thought that they should be the same.

Other results show: • On the question "What should be the legal maximum driving hours per week?

14 per cent replied lower: 12 per cent the same; and 73 per cent higher;

• On maximum working hours per week, the replies were 16, 56 and 27 per cent respectively.

Twelve per cent believe motorway speed limits should be increased.

The Union also asked: "Should we support bunks in cabs?" "Yes," replied 85.11 per cent — "No" said 14.89 per cent.
