Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• From tomorrow (Saturday), interairport Green Line express coach route no. 727 is to be extended to serve Luton Airport. This will provide many of the vast numbers of inclusive tour holiday-makers who fly from Luton with a direct, fast service avoiding the frustrating journey via Central London.

The now well-known 727 service was introduced by London Transport in May 1967, and carried over one million passengers in its first year of operation. It has operated from Crawley to Luton via Gatwick Airport, Reigate, Kingswood, Tadworth, Epsom, Tolworth, Kingston, Hanworth, Heathrow Airport, Uxbridge, Watford and St. Albans, providing an hourly service from early morning to late evening, daily.

Only 26 stops are made by the one-man operated Green Line single-deck coaches on the entire 76-mile journey, and the through run takes only 214 minutes, at a single fare of 60p. Links are provided between Gatwick and London airports and main line inter-city trains on the Euston line at Watford Junction and the St. Pancras line at Luton.

Connections with main express coach routes to the West and South West are provided at Uxbridge, and connections with local bus, rail and Green Line coach services are made at most stopping places. free timetables and fares leaflets are being widely distributed by London Country Bus Services Ltd, which inherited the service on January 11970.
