• The Institution of Mechanical Engineers' symposium on "Rapid transit vehicles for city services" is now to be held at headquarters-1 Birdcage Walk, Westminster SW1—on April 22 and 23. It was to have been held in Paris last November but was cancelled owing to lack of registration. IME members registered with the automobile division will receive forms for the revised event shortly; other members and non-members should write to the Conference Department at hq.
