• The Transport Development Group's turnover for 1970 approached £66m—more than £10m up on the 1969 figure.

Other record results turned in by TDG include: £12,427,000 group profit before depreciation and taxes—more than £2.2m better than the previous year; net profit £5,078,000 (1969: £4,041,000). The provision for depreciation was nearly £4m.

Outlook for 1970? TDG says that profits so far are marginally less than for 1970, and adds: "Group companies are in fine trim and can be expected to give a good account of themselves."
