Harding, at present secretary of Hants and Dorset Motor Services Ltd., as director and general manager of Southern Vectis Omnibus Co. Ltd., with effect from May I; Mr. W. T. Skinner, at present director and general manager of Cumberland Motor Services Ltd., as director and general manager of Eastern Counties Omnibus Co. Ltd., with effect from June 1.

For many years transport manager of South Leicestershire Co-operative Society in Wigston, Leics, Mr. John Edward Baker is to retire at the end of March after 25 years with the Society. His successor will be Mr. Harold Smart, who joined the Society 36 years ago.

Leyland Motor Corporation Ltd. has appointed two new directors—Mr. T. N. Addison and Mr. J. H. Plane. Mr. Addison, a solicitor, has been secretary of the Corporation for a number of years and is also a director of Leyland Motors Ltd. Mr. Plane is one of South Africa's leading industrialists. The company which bore his name was built up from small beginnings to a very successful And substantial concern. The present company, the Leyland Corporation of South Africa, is the largest heavy commercial vehicle organization there.

Two new district traffic superintendents have been appointed by Ribble Motor Services Ltd.--Mr. J. Greenwood and Mr. E. T. Nightingale. Mr. Greenwood, 26, takes charge at Ulverston following the appointment of Mr. D. G. Codling as manager of Stratford-upon-Avon Blue Motors Ltd. Mr. Nightingale, 43, takes over at Ambleside from Mr. T. Turner, retiring after 36 years with Ribble.

Mr. Eric W. Taylor, previously car sales manager of Whitby's Ltd., Leicester, has been appointed truck sales manager.

Mr. Derek Marson has been appointed general manager of Granada Motorway Services Ltd. His office will be at 36 Golden Square, London, WI, but for the next few months he will often be found at the service area at Toddington.

Mr. Douglas M. Jones has been appointed district manager of the Broad Street, Birmingham, office of The Skefko Ball Bearing Co. Ltd., of Luton.

Mr. D. G. Finley has been appointed secretary of Hants and Dorset Motor Services Ltd. as from April 1, in addition to his present position as secretary of Wilts and Dorset Motor Services Ltd. Mr. J. G. Le RoUgetel has been appointed production manager of Duple Motor Bodies l.td. Mr. Le Rougetel served an engineering apprenticeship with the Austin Motor Co. Ltd. at Birmingham, and became a management trainee with the same firm. From .1946 he worked in Malaysia for 11 years with Wearne Bros. Ltd., and in 1957 joined Renault Ltd. as works manager in charge of the Acton plant. In 1959 he became general manager, and later a director, of Renault.

Mr. David Kelso has been appointed tank sales engineer with Crane Fruehauf Trailers Ltd. He is based at the Dereham, Norfolk, factory and joined Crane Fruehauf after seven years with Charles Roberts Ltd„ Wakefield, where for the past two years he had been works manager of the road tank division.

Mr. A. R. A. Hall has been appointed manager, export division, of Tecalemit (Engineering) Ltd., replacing Mr. B. D. Waugh, who has relinquished the position because of indifferent health. Mr. Waugh will, however, continue to serve the company as London manager, export division.

Mr. S. J. Wheeler, deputy managing director of BMC, is to retire from that office when he reaches retiring age on April 13, but will remain on the board of directors. Mr. R. J. Lucas, aged 53, has joined the board and it is intended that he will become a deputy managing director with special responsibilities for financial matters when Mr. Wheeler retires. Mr. H. 3. L. Suffield, 54, who joined the board in May, 1964, has been appointed a deputy managing director with special responsibilties for home and export sales and publicity.

Mr. P. W. Eberall has been appointed principal executive assistant (financial investigations) in the department of the chief financial officer of London Transport.

Mr. G. W. Newbould, for the past seven years sales development engineer for the garage equipment division of Laycock Engineering Ltd., Sheffield, has been appointed assistant sales manager of that division Mr. John H. Lockett has joined the Simms Group as assistant to Mr. Alan Hess, controller of public relations.

Mr. W. J. C. Ford and Mr. V. T. Jarvis have been appointed to the boards of Ford and Slater Ltd. and Ford and Slater Holdings Ltd.
