EAVY goods traffic increased volume for the last quarter of 181 when compared with the .evious year.
Provisional figures issued by e Department of Transport lows that, despite very bad eather conditions, 5.2bn bn=1,000m) vehicle km were avelled by heavy goods :hides. This is a 1.3 per cent crease on the previous year. The total number of vehicle n covered during 1981 came to I bn, a slight decrease on the )80 total of 21.3bn.
Light van mileage fell from 5bn vehicle km for the last Jarter of 1980 to 5.4bn for the ime period of 1981, a drop of 6 per cent.
