ROAD HAULAGE ASSOCIATION I N. operators in the Devon and Cornwall area have been invited to a meeting to be held in Plymouth on July 7 to discuss the formation of a tipper group. South Western Traffics Ltd., an organization that is supported by the principal Operators in the two counties, in convening the meeting, also offers facilities for the administration of such a group, which would remain independent.
South Western Traffics Ltd. has offices in Exeter, Plymouth and Bodmin and its members have a total of around 500 tippers.
Blaw Knox Changes
A N NOUNCI NG his retirement on r—k September 30 next, as chairman of Maw Knox Ltd., The Hon. Alexander Hood said the board proposed to appoint Rear-Admiral A. J. Tyndale-Biscoe as chairman and Mr. A. E. Percivall as deputy chairman, who are both managing directors of the company. The Hon. Alexander Hood has been chairman since 1959 and will remain a director.
