ONE of the latest undertakings..to fit doors to the entrances of double-deckers is the East Kent Road Car Co., Ltd., Canterbury. A vehicle with this refinement has just been delivered to the company. It is one of 30 Guy 56-seaters with Park Royal bodies which the company have on order.

Jack-knife doors enclose the rear platform and a sliding door is provided for the driver. The emergency exit is in the rear panel. In addition to doors to keep passengers warm, heated air is circulated through grilles on both decks.

The buses are 27 ft. long and 8 ft. wide and are easily recognized by their distinctive frontal treatment. They are intended primarily for long distance country routes.
